The KPKSB held a iftar ceremony during the Ramadhan 1426H year 2006 for its staff at the KPKSB Kota Bharu headquarters. Then all the staff performed the ‘solat terawih’ organized by KPKSB’s Managing Director, Tuan Hj Mohd Fadzli Ab. Samat. The purpose is to enable staff to iftar together and be friendly to each other.

Iftar is one of the religious observances of Ramadan and is often done as a community, with people gathering to break their fast together. Iftar is taken right after Maghrib time, which is around sunset. Traditionally but not mandatory, three dates are eaten to break the fast in emulation of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad, who broke his fast in this manner. Many Muslims believe that feeding someone iftar as a form of charity is very rewarding and that such was practised by the Prophet Muhammad.

This council is for the construction of the new KPKSB Office which took place on the 20th September 2005 at Lot 1045 Jalan Yaakobiah Kota Bharu. It was officiated by Kelantan Menteri Besar, YAB Tuan Guru Dato’ Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat using the bulldozers as a symbol of the groundbreaking event of the KPKSB building. At the event, the KPKSB donated a carriage to the Kelantan Menteri Besar and laid the foundation stone for the construction of the surau by YB Datuk Husam Musa.

This establishment is a company’s concern to continue with welfare contributions to staff and to conduct sports activities so that employees can enjoy and to foster friendship with each other. The establishment was made through a special meeting to elect the chairman and his committee members to mobilize and administer the club. The meeting was held on the 16th April 2005 was held at Dewan Selayang Perdana Resort Kota Bharu. Started with the registration of club members then officiated by KPKSB Managing Director and Club Advisor, Tuan Hj Mohd Fadzli bin Ab. Samat. After voting was completed En Mohd Hafiz Arshad was named the first Chairman of the Club and comprised of members appointed by club members. Good luck and congratulations on the task entrusted.

The event was held in the year of Syawal 1427H in 2005 at the 7th floor KPK office of Kota Bharu. Hari Raya Speech is conveyed by the KPKSB Managing Director to all staff and is celebrated with Hari Raya feasts. The purpose of this event is to celebrate the day of joy after fasting for a month and to be friendly with KPKSB staff.

On February 24, 2004, 3 Muharram 1425 Hijrah, the KPKSB presented donations to the indigenous ieople community at the Orang Asli settlement in Pos Bering. The event was officiated by KPKSB’s Chief Executive Officer, En. Che Abdullah Mat Nawi.

The success of the program was Forestry Manager, officer and several KPKSB staff members. The main objective of the program is to strengthen the relationship between the KPKSB and the outside community, especially the indigenous people. This community assistance can help and further alleviate the burden borne by indigenous people in the Bering Post.

A total of 26 families were given the aid of this food and received an encouraging response from the indigenous people there. This program can be considered as the basis for the strengthening of cooperation between indigenous peoples and the KPKSB. Through KPKSB’s Chief Executive Officer’s speech at the event, he suggested that such programs are always better organized and not just disappeared.

On 3rd February 2004, a team of assessors from MC & I who were accompanied by several officers from the Kelantan Forestry Department visited the KPKSB concession area. This visit program is a follow-up from a previous visit to the State of Kelantan as observers and assessors on the application of the forest management system currently being undertaken by the Kelantan Forestry Department.

The KPKSB is the largest concession holder in the State of Kelantan and one of the licenses under the administration of the Kelantan State Forestry Office has been selected for their visit. The location involved in the visit was part of the secondary road in the concession, Compatement 175 (open field crops), Compatibility 197 (plot plot for the census work of the resident census conducted by the Kelantan Forestry Department) and Compatibility 174 (logging work) in the Forest Save Balah.

A day before, this member visited several logging zones under the administration of the Kelantan East Forestry Office and the Kelantan Selatan Forestry Office. The KPKSB has always multiplied its efforts towards compliance with the terms set out under MC & I. The program was also participated by KPKSB Forestry and Forestry Division staff who always accompanied the visit.
